HOW TO TELL IF YOUR BRA IS FITTING CORRECTLY
Here are a few simple tests:
STOOP, SCOOP, STAND TEST
- Stoop - Put on your bra, then bend at the waist at a 90* angle
- Swoop - Reach in the cups and guide your breast tissue from under your pits and into the cup to make sure they are filling out the cup
- Scoop - Lift your boobs up to sit on top of the underwire and not under the bra band
- Stand - Now stand up straight. If your breast tissue is flowing out of the cups, use your fingers to adjust. If after this small adjustment there is still overflow, you should try a cup size that is 1 or 2 sizes larger.
ARMS UP TEST
Put on your bra, then raise your arms above your head. Are you boobs coming out under the underwire? If yes, then you’re in the wrong size. It sounds like your band size may be too big, or your cup size is too small. Hint: A band that fits properly will not move when you raise your arms.
Put on your bra, then drop the straps off your shoulder. If your bra pretty much stays put where it is, than the band size is correct. If your bra drops (telling you that your straps are doing too much work) than your band size is too big and you need to go down a band size and up a cup size - remember sister sizing.
